Here's a minialbum I made for a friend who graduated
from High School in Sweden. He studied to be a sailor.
And it's my first try to make a mini out of paperbags.
This patterned paper is from Landstoken, a Swedish
brand. And it's how the hats of the graduates look like.
There's not many decorations, as it is meant for a young
man, and NO pink colours involved at all. All his family
waited outside the boat where they had a little goodbye
lunch. It was a very sunny beautiful day in Stockholm.
At one o'clock there was this typical noice from the
boat and everybody came out running. All graduates
soon found their families who gave them hugs and lots
of presents and flowers to hang around their neck.
Then parents invited to something to drink.
After that we walked away to a boat the family
hired for the party. Casper was so surprised
- family managed to arrange everything
without him noticing!
Grandparents and a lot of friends came to congratulate
during the afternoon, some left and others came.
Parents were happy! The striped patterned paper is
from Inkido, another Swedish brand who made papers
with graduation theme.
There was an abundance of food; first light snacks as
mozzarella and tomatoes, fruit and peanuts. But then
a grill was smelling delicios tempting everybody to eat
grilled beef, melon etc.
A balloon was held in place by this heavy silver thing,
and all guests were asked to write a greeting in a book
for the graduate to remember this day by.
That's how a party for a graduate can be made
in Sweden!!! No specific rules; every family decides
how to do it the best way. We liked this!
