Mechanical Gardens

Here's my second card made at Stockholms 

Scrap and Pearl Event taking a workshop 

with Ania Dabrowska (aka Finnabair). I loved 

the class and it has given me a lot of inspiration 

to make cards with lots of layers!

Mechanical Garden

Ania Dabrowska (aka Finnabair) claimed this

Saturday she's no card maker. But she made

a whole bunch of girls make pretty cards like

this on Stockholms Scrap and Pearls Event!

We had such fun even though we had to run;

we distressed, painted, cut and tried to fit it

all together like her card and this was one of

the two cards in one workshop called

"Mechanical Garden"

PL 2014 Week 7 and 8

Week seven nothing important happened but I

still tried to document what happened at home

or at work normal days. 

I made these pages for a store called Creativica

and so I primarily used materials I was given and

also like a lot; Bo Bunny (Woodland Winter collection)

and the square alphas from Papir Design. 

Tags above and a star clip below are from TGR, 

a Danish chain store also selling som fun things 

useful for paper crafters.  

Below are mostly cards I made from the Bo 

Bunny papers, chipboards from the same 

collection, a few cards from Becky Higgins 

Seasons, a metal corner from Landstoken

and "today" sticker from Jilibean Soup.

Below is a sticker I got when I had to access

a public building for social services and needed 

to identify myself (as interpreter) so I kept it as

a souvenir for my PL-pages! Some letters are

from The Green Hyena February kit and there's

even a flair from our talented group of Swedish

PL-girls! 

Well I'm constantly learning more and more and

experimenting with all these materials and new

ays of scrapping! Any suggestions?

Happy together

Yesterday I attended a crop at the store 

Scrapdraken, participated in a challenge

making this layout using a sketch and I

actually won the challenge!

The two side pictures are special to me,

because during my years on Dominican 

Republic, pointing these flowers out to

the tourists, I never managed to get any

picture of the because they were growing

so high on the trees and I had just a little

standard camera. But on Tenerife past

December I was lucky to find a tree next to

a place with a wall with some trees in eye

level... Arern't they beautiful??

Materials used: cardstock, Prima pearl swirls,

letters I cut out with the Cuttlebug, a brad, three

daffodils (and below the middle one is a flower

made by crochet). 

Least, but not last: twill gold ribbons from my over all

favorite collection at Crafty Ribbons: Summer Breeze.

Use your brads

Hi; this was the last February post I made for

Creativica. Theme: Something old and 

something new and use your brads.

"Get better!" with two different kinds of brads

above and trying out the Martha Stewart punch

in the middle. Papers used here: Summertime 

from Maja Design. 

Below: "Encouragement" with three stars 

and two kinds of brads again. 

No punch but two different brads and a ribbon

in a matching colour is the last one for today.

This is all for today; now I have to pack bags

for going away to work in the north tomorrow!

Park Guell in Barcelona

There's a cyber crop going on over at Scrap-

Perra's this week (there's holidays from school

for winter sports in parts of Sweden this week).

First challenge is: Use this sketch:

I made an LO as an insert for my Barcelona

pages in my PL-album 2013 and used purple 

and yellow to fit in with the pages I already

 made with pictures from beautiful Park Guell:

Materials: Papers from Glitz (Uncharted Waters),

Splash: Lindys Stamp Gang, flairs, mini alphas

from KaiserKraft, heart shaped doily, bling from

Panduro and small glass hearts from Pipoos.

AOS skissutmaning i februari

Allt om Scrap har en skissutmaning i februari.

Skissen nedan har Ana Castro från Brasilien 

gjort. Kolla gärna hennes fina blogg!

Min tolkning av skissen blev så här och kommer

att hamna mitt ett uppslag i mitt PL-album. På

motstående sida sitter nämligen flera foton och

journalingkort med lila färg och hos Scrap-Perra 

fann jag detta fina ark ur den nya serien från

K-Designs fina papper som var precis det jag

letade efter (när jag sökte ETT babypapper)...

Övriga dekorationer: Blomma med hänge och

ljuslila dito från Prima, burlap flower från Slöjd-

Detaljer, washitape, etiketter och ljuslila washi

från en RAK, glashjärtan från Holland, chevrons

från Sodalicious, frantage, gesso, glitter, 

transparency från Hamble Studios, Inca Gold

 samt Pearl Maker.

Park Guell i Barcelona Part II

På detta uppslag ses många exempel på den 

teknik som Gaudí och hans lärjungar använde 

för att dekorera; sprucken keramik ihopsatt i

konstfulla mönster med hjälp av en sorts murbruk

av salt, kalk och vatten. "Trencadís" heter den

tekniken på spanska och det var speciellt en av

de konstintresserade medhjälparna till Gaudí

som specialiserade sig på detta.  

Ovan ses bilder från två av de tre figurer som 

dominerar trappan från huvudingången till Park

Guell upp till den tilltänkta hantverksbyn, och 

nedan flera foton på "vågiga bänken" och vi fyra

som åkte tillsammans. Här är inte många deko-

rationer; endast några flairs här och var och lite

washi för att hålla fast utskrifterna på vellum. 

Ja då var andra uppslaget för vecka 38 år 2013

klart. Eller någon som har förslag på något jag

borde lägga till??

Park Guell in Barcelona

Barcelona is so beautiful! Especially in summer 

and sunshine! We went there the whole family

in September last year and spent 10 interesting 

days admiring architecture, taking pictures and 

eating ice cream etc. I decided to make a few 

pocket journaling pages with the best pictures:

The first spread is from Park Guell, build by the

Catalan Architect Antoni Gaudí and his workers

between 1900 - 1914. it is now declared World

Heritage by UNESCO. We started off in the 

viaducts. I used journaling from Me and My Big

Ideas (Travel) and cardstock plus a few other

items from different other kits. 

On the right page of the spread I put a piece of

the city map to show where the park is located,

flairs and wood veneers (although I know it will

probably do no good to the pictures...) and a

little arrow I got at the local paper store.

I admit; there are not many decorations here; 

and that's because I think the pictures says it

all; they are big and shiny and I felt no need to

overdecorate them. Like it?

Project Life Week 2014: Week 6

Week 6 two things happened: I worked and I 

went to a crop! Apart from that it was dull all

days and raining and boring, so I didn't take

 many pictures att all. Most journaling cards are

from a Mini kit called Seasons and then there 

are some others from WRMK Captured.

Orange letters are from The Green Hyenas'

February Add-On-kit and flairs are made by

talented Swedish scrappers who shared them

with us (=the rest of us who can't make flairs..)! 

Today there's sunshine; so I hope to go to work 

and being able to take some bright pictures on

the way! Thanks for visiting my blog!

Wedding Anniversary with Maja Designs

Hi; The February theme in Creativicas' blog is

"something old, something new" and I came to 

think of vintage. These papers from Maja Design

has and old fashioned style but are new to me.

So I made a card for a couple who are celebrating

their 19th wedding anniversary soon! I used an 

"old" card folding (it means I learned to make it a

long time ago) and finally I decorated with some

half pearls and flowers from Scandinavian 

designs. 

I'd like to submit my card to the following
